I published a few changes to my blog template today. 

  1. Upgraded to WordPress 2.1.
  2. Added some plugins:
    1. Feedburner Feed Replacement
    2. Feed Locations 
    3. Sidebar Widgets
    4. Ultimate Tag Warrior Widget
  3. Whole new template with dual floating sidebars (from the image on the left to the one on the right).

This post is mostly for me so I can remember when I have made a change, but comments are welcome.

Update: I can see that the sidebar padding is wrong in Firefox, but looks perfect in IE.  Why, why, why do we still have to deal with these incompatibilities?  Argh.

I’d be interested to know how your UTW experience is. I’ve heard of some performance problems with UTW and WP2.1, which are keeping me from upgrading.

I haven’t had a chance to notice; In addition to the Firefox problem I mentioned above, my linkblog is messed up. Once I get through that I’ll try to look at the performance of UTW.

Oooh, very pretty, despite what old Bob says.

I’m still living in Typepad. I can’t get myself to leave. But this inspires me to redesign. It’s hard cuz I actually like my design.

Sigh, the price we pay for style.
